Look at the tone God takes with Joshua in 7:10-14. With Moses the tone always seemed so wrathful and angry but here He is so matter-of-fact. "Why is it that you have fallen on your face?... ...Israel has sinned.... ...sons of Israel cannot stand before their enemies.... Rise up! Consecrate the people..." Why do you suppose He is dealing with Israel's sin this way with Joshua?
Take a look at Joshua's response to the situation, in verses 6-9. What "good" and "bad" character traits do you find?
What lesson and application of God's word has the Holy Spirit revealed to you in chapter 7 of Joshua?
